Questions and Answers about Dr. Christian Nase:
What inspired you to work in veterinary medicine?
Having grown up around Dover Area Animal Hospital, I was fortunate to see the profession from an early age. I saw firsthand not only the care provided to animals, but also the lasting relationships built with clients and the broader community. That sense of connection and purpose is what drew me to veterinary medicine, and it’s something I’m excited to continue building in my own career.
What do you love most about working with animals?
What I appreciate most is the individuality each animal brings—no two patients are the same. Earning their trust and working with them over the years to keep them happy and healthy is incredibly rewarding. In my experience our patients have a way of keeping you grounded, occasionally humbled, and always on your toes.
What are you looking forward to most about working here?
I’m most looking forward to the opportunity to serve this community. Returning to central Pennsylvania and giving back to the area that helped shape me is something very meaningful to me. I’m excited to put years of preparation and training into practice and to provide compassionate, high-quality care for local pets and their families.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work I enjoy fishing, camping, golfing, playing the guitar and teaching my dog Polly new tricks!
